A iniciativa convidou figuras públicas a compartilharem selfies com a língua de fora, recriando a icônica foto de Einstein, para chamar a atenção ao legado de Mileva e de tantas outras mulheres cujas contribuições para a ciência foram invisibilizadas ao longo da história.
To celebrate International Women's Day, the NGO Inspiring Girls launched a campaign to spotlight the contributions of Serbian mathematician and physicist Mileva Marić to Albert Einstein's scientific achievements, including the Theory of Relativity.
The initiative invited public figures to share selfies sticking out their tongues, recreating Einstein's iconic photo to draw attention to Mileva's legacy and to the countless women whose contributions to science have been overlooked throughout history.
